Melina Llodrá has over 20 years of experience in advising international clients on cross-border projects, including complex M&A transactions. Before founding the firm (2019), Melina worked for more than 10 years as senior counsel at an international law firm in Geneva, Switzerland (LALIVE), leading complex corporate matters (mainly in Europe, MENA and the Americas). She has successfully led numerous complex cross-border M&A transactions and joint-ventures across various industries with a strong focus on energy, construction, infrastructure, TMT and maritime sectors overseeing deals from pre-transaction planning to post closing integration. Additionally, she has served as senior contract lawyer at the consulting firm McKinsey (Argentina), where she spearheaded the negotiation of innovative projects across LATAM, bringing a strategic and results-driven approach to high-stakes transactions.
In the field of compliance, she provides advice on cross-border projects, including design, implementation and management of compliance programs, and internal investigations. Melina has attained professional qualifications on international compliance (CCEP-I) with expertise in preventive compliance and both domestic and cross-border investigations. She received her law degree from the National University of Rosario (Argentina) and earned her LLM from the University of Illinois (U.S.A.) Prior to joining LLODRA LAW, she worked as a senior lawyer at the concessionaire of the port of Rosario (TPR S.A.), acquiring significant experience in the field of customs, maritime and shipping law. She has led numerous cross-border trade negotiations with the different operators of the port and different conflict management processes in the sector. She has worked for 10 years as legal advisor to the local executive power in the Secretariat of Control and Citizen Coexistence; in the Secretariat of Government and in the Secretariat of Planning, Public Works and Private Works. In the construction and urban planning sector, she has participated in several urban planning projects, leading strategic negotiations and participating in several restructurings.
